Prior to taking his post as
Executive Director of the Kristol Hillel Center
at the University of Delaware, Hal spent two years as the Associate
Director of the University
of Wisconsin Hillel Foundation.
Hal has also worked at the University
of Arizona Hillel as an
Assistant Director and at the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix as a Senior
Campaign Associate/Young Leadership Director. Hal studied at the University of Arizona
for his undergraduate degree getting a Bachelor's of Arts in History & Judaic
Studies and received a Master's of Arts in Jewish Communal Service and a
Master's of Management in Social Policy from Brandeis University.
Hal is originally from Tucson,
Arizona and in his previous life
has been a river guide and marathon runner, and is still a guitar player and
sports fan. Hal's door is always open and he looks forward to meeting students, alumni

Mike Blum joins UD Hillel having completed his Masters in Jewish Communal Service from Gratz College. He has wanted to work in the Jewish world since his first trip to Israel in 1997. Mike grew up in suburban Philadelphia attending Friends' Central School. The University of Pittsburgh was Mike's home for four years where he got his BA in Religious Studies and was active in a number of campus organizations including the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity. Jacque has been with Hillel since 1990. In the 17 years that she has been here, she has been blessed with 10 grandkids. She enjoys being around the students and chatting with them in her office, so don't forget to say hi when you pop in!

Josh Snyder is a fourth-year student at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College. He has wanted to work with college students since way before he knew he wanted to be a rabbi. The university setting is pretty much the best of all worlds - people are really figuring out who they are! Whether working 1-on-1, teaching classes, or leading discussions over a brewskie, Josh is dedicated to helping college students connect to the deep roots of Judaism. josh welcomes the chance to meet everyone.
