The Kristol Center for Jewish Life (Hillel) is one of the largest, most
exciting, and most versatile organizations at University of Delaware.
Hillel provides a welcoming atmosphere to students from all backgrounds
and communities. Hillel offers a variety of leadership opportunities to
bring fresh ideas and new visions to Jewish campus life.
Please contact Mike Blum for more information on any of our student groups, Hillel Programming or Student Life at UD.
The Kristol Hillel Center offers two student-led Friday night Shabbat services (Reform & Conservative) every Friday night during the school year starting at 6:00 pm. Services are always followed by an excellent home style FREE Shabbat meal.
Twice a year UD Hillel takes part in the FREE 10 day trip to Israel! Winter and summer trips are open to all eligible students. For more information about this amazing experience email Mike.
Each year UD Hillel gives our students the opportunity to do more than jsut hang around home during spring and winter breaks. This year we will head down to Louisiana to do Katrina Relief work in devastated towns near New Orleans for Winter break, and to Uruguay to build home for those in need over Spring break. For more information visit our Alternative Break page or email Mike.
The University's main location in Newark, Delaware, is a beautiful suburban setting where the classic Georgian campus invokes history and a sense of tradition. The Newark campus is nestled next to the downtown business district, which boasts the charm of a small-town community enriched and enlivened by the University community.
University buildings and dormitories neighbor businesses, restaurants and private homes - creating a vibrant, electric atmosphere. For a map of the UD campus, click here.
The two main student centers are called the Trabant University Center, and the Perkins Student Center which hold a food court (no kosher outlets), grocery market, a pool hall, movie theater, student group offices, meeting spaces and much more.
