Join other service-minded students from around the country in Miami. This trip is a partnership between Hillel and City Year
and will provide an opportunity to stretch beyond the everyday by
coming together through hands-on service, team building and the
exploration of social justice and Judaism.
Days will be spent
doing volunteer work which may include, but is not limited to, building,

For the 5th consecutive year UD Hillel is excited to be taking a group of students to New Orleans to assist in the continued relief efforts following the flooding after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2006. Progressive Jewish Alliance + Jewish Funds for Justice’s Alternative Breaks provide opportunities for
teams of college students to travel, participate in intensive service,
meet new people and create intentional Jewish community. JFSJ develops service projects that meet existing
community needs, in partnership with local organizations and participants will gain important
skills while learning about and reflecting on relevant historical,
social, and political issues through the lens of Jewish ethics and
