Book Club
Looking for a space for thoughtful conversation on issues related to social justice and activism? Increase your understanding of relevant social justice topics by exploring diverse perspectives. Each month we’ll choose a book that address themes of race and justice and get together virtually for a discussion.

Divine Dining
Want to host a Shabbat dinner for your friends, but don't want to cook or pay? Come learn fun tips and tricks to help you become the finest dinner host in all of Newark. Then, put what you learn into practice by hosting Shabbat and holiday meals for your friends in your house/ apartment/the Green. This cohort is a requirement for hosting Shabbat Across Campus. We’ll provide the food - all you need to do is add friends!

Want to meet new people while learning how to slay college? impACT is for you! You'll meet weekly with a group of freshmen to learn leadership skills, the ins and outs of UD, connecting virtually, and how to get the most of your 4 years. Your Body on Loan
COVID 19 has been a daily reminder of personal powerlessness. However, we do control what we put in and on our bodies, and what we do with them. Torah says the human body was created in God’s image and humans are merely “custodians” of their vessels. We'll explore what Jewish sources have to say about sex, drugs, pleasure, piercing and body image and what these texts might mean today.

Want to learn how to cook, but not sure where to start? Or love to cook and looking for some new recipes? Either way,Hillel Fresh is for you! Every other week you'll get either a meal kit with all of the ingredients (Newark only) or a giftcard to a grocery store to purchase the ingredients yourself. Then we'll all hop on Zoom where we'll teach you how to make a meal (or part of a meal) using those ingredients!
